  18. Linguine With Spicy Tomato-Garlic Sauce

  20. Create more entrees by adding clams or Italian sausage to
  21. this basic recipe.

  23. Serves 2
  24.  
  25. 1/4 cup Olive oil
  26. 1 teaspoon Crushed red pepper flakes
  27. 1 Tablespoon Garlic, minced
  28. 4 cups Tomatoes, peeled and seeded
  29. 1 Tablespoon Basil, fresh, chopped
  30. 6 cups Linguine, cooked
  31. Parmesan cheese grated
  32.  
  33. Heat the oil in a large skillet. Remove from the heat and
  34. add the red pepper flakes and garlic. Allow to steep for 10
  35. minutes. Place the tomatoes and basil in a food processor
  36. (or blender). Pulse until a course sauce forms. Add to the
  37. oil. Return to the heat and simmer for 20 minutes (stirring
  38. frequently). Toss the pasta in and reheat. Serve warm,
  39. garnished with the Parmesan.
